Letham Community Sports Club

Letham Amateurs (sponsored by Trev’s House of Tattoos, Saints Social Club, Barossa Street. DRC Contracts, Sidey)   The league game against Vale of Earn was switched to the all-weather pitch at Seven Acres due to waterlogged pitch at Crieff. Vale of Earn prior to the game had an impressive 100% success in the league and it was thought the Tangerines would have a very difficult afternoon. However Letham playing their best football for some time stunned the visitors and ran out winners by seven goals to nil. On Saturday they are at Kinrossie for the first round of the Ashleigh Cup.

Letham 1995 (sponsored by Perthshire Flooring)  In the first round of the Tayside Trophy the team faced Green Room. The visitors took an early lead but then discipline problems plagued their team and Letham ran out winners by seven goals to three. Away to Dunbarney on Sunday.

Letham U19 Sky Blue (sponsored by Montana Restoration) The game at home to Dundee West resulted in a fourteen goal thriller with the Sky Blues accounting for eight of them. On Sunday away to Forfar West End. Travel arrangements will be advised.

Letham U16 Tangerine 1999 (sponsored by John Gillespie, Hairdresser, St.John Street)  No game last weekend. On Sunday Kinnoull are the visiting team for a league game. Please note new kick off time.

Letham U16 White 1999 (sponsored by Alex O’Brien, Contractor. Kilmac Group, Kelly Communications)  With a waterlogged pitch at Seven Acres the league game was switched to Jeanfield. Credit to the Whites they played well despite being on the losing side.

Letham U15 Tangerine 2000 (sponsored by Graham & Sibbald/ Drainco (Scotland) Ltd)  The Tangies lost to Scone by three goals to two and rued all their missed chances. On Sunday at home to Luncarty. Venue has still to be decided.

Letham Tangerine U14 2001 (sponsored by New Today, Furniture Centre, Canal Street) Game at Arbroath was postponed due to pitch conditions. On Sunday away to Riverside, Dundee. Travel arrangements will be advised.

Letham Tangerine 2002 (sponsored by McDonald’s, RGW Play Area Maint. Ltd., D Peebles, Electrical Contractor)   The home game last week against Pitfour was cancelled due to a waterlogged pitch. This Sunday they play Jeanfield Red at home.

Letham Sky Blue 2002 (sponsored by MKM Building Merchants)   At Almondbank last weekend the team came a cropper when they lost heavily to Scone. On Sunday they have a big game at home to Jeanfield Black. Game kicks off at 10.30 a.m.

Letham Tangerine 2003 (sponsored by Vending Services Ltd)  Both set of supporters were pleased with their teams performances when the Tangies played Crieff. On Sunday away to Breadalbane. Reminder of the Presentation Night on Sunday at Almondbank from 2.00p.m.

Letham White 2003 (sponsored by China, China, St. Leonards Bridge)   Game last week at Bridge of Earn was cancelled due to pitch condition. On Sunday away to Blairgowrie. Travel arrangements will be advised.

Letham Tangerine 2004 (sponsored by Carpet Discount Store, Friarton, Perth)  Good game at home to Breadalbane last week with the Tangies just shading it in the end. The game away to Bridge of Earn planned for Sunday was brought forward and played midweek resulting in a home win.

Letham 2004 White (sponsored by Tower Veterinary Centre)    Game at Pitfour last week was cancelled. On Sunday at home to Pitfour 2004.

Letham Sky Blue 2004 (sponsored by John Tainsh, Convenience Store)  The Sky Blues played really well at Jeanfield last week despite the honours going to the home team. Home game against Pitfour on Sunday.

Letham 2005 Tangerine (sponsored by Manzil Restaurant)   The Tangies started well last week at home to Breadalbane then faded. On Sunday at home to Scone on the all-weather pitch.

Letham 2005 White  No game last weekend. Tomorrow Saturday at 11.00a.m. instead of Sunday they play at Bridge of Earn.

Letham Girls U15 (sponsored by MP & H McDonald, Plumbing & Heating)  The girls played really well in their friendly game against Tayside Ladies winning by three goals to one.        

Letham Girls U13 (sponsored by Aviva)  No game last weekend. Any activities this weekend will be advised.

Letham Girls U11 Tangerine (sponsored by R.A.S.C. R.C.T. Association)   Took part in a festival last weekend at Seven Acres.

Letham Girls U11 White Four teams took part in the Letham Festival last Saturday. Credit to Ian’s team that went through undefeated.

All Girls teams   Remember that tonight in the Tulloch Institute is a Presentation Evening.

Letham Tot’s Soccer School (sponsored by Struan Motors, Crieff Road)  The soccer school for boys and girls in primaries one, two and three continues at 9.00a.m. on the new all-weather pitch at Seven Acres. Cost is £2. Please wear boots and shin guards and bring a drink.  If arriving by car please use car park via Balgowan Road entrance.

Letham Coaches (sponsored by Scottish Co-op Community Fund)  Would like to hear from volunteers willing to give up some of their spare time and become a coach to one of our younger teams.
