Letham Community Sports Club

Letham Amateurs (sponsored by Trev’s House of Tattoos, Saints Social Club, Barossa Street. DRC Contracts, Sidey). The Tangerines won through to the fifth round of the Scottish Cup with a deserved three goals to two victory over Corkerhill from Glasgow. The game was spoiled as a spectacle due to the appalling behaviour of the West Coast side both on and off the field. Tomorrow Burrelton Rovers visit Seven Acres for the right to go into the knock out stages of the League Cup.   

Letham 1995 (sponsored by Perthshire Flooring) The team were in fine form last week at home to Green Room winning by eight goals to one. On Sunday they are again at home to Buddies.

Letham U19 Sky Blue (sponsored by Montana Restoration)  Last week’s game at home to Dundee Villa was postponed due to waterlogged pitch. This quarter final tie goes ahead this Sunday on the all-weather pitch.

Letham U16 Tangerine 1999 (sponsored by John Gillespie, Hairdresser, St.John Street)  The Tangies played well at Scone last weekend winning by five goals to two. On Sunday away to Crieff Juniors.

Letham U16 White 1999 (sponsored by Alex O’Brien, Contractor. Kilmac Group, Kelly Communications)   The team played well at Blairgowrie last week although losing by three goals to one and missed a penalty at a crucial stage of the game. This Sunday they entertain Kinnoull.

Letham U15 Tangerine 2000 (sponsored by Graham & Sibbald/ Drainco (Scotland) Ltd)  Playing Scone for the fourth time in five weeks resulted in a two all draw. At one stage they were two goals down but fought back. As the game on Sunday at Bankfoot is doubtful the match has been switched to the all-weather pitch at Seven Acres. Please note change to kick off time.

Letham Tangerine U14 2001 (sponsored by New Today, Furniture Centre, Canal Street)    At Arbroath last Sunday the team progressed into the third round of a local cup by virtue of defeating the home team by five goals to nil. On Sunday Dundee Celtic are visiting for a league game.

Letham Tangerine 2002 (sponsored by McDonald’s, RGW Play Area Maint. Ltd., D Peebles, Electrical Contractor) With no game last weekend the team look forward to an away league game against Jeanfield Swifts Black.

Letham Sky Blue 2002 (sponsored by MKM Building Merchants). At Blairgowrie last Sunday the team secured a narrow two goals to one victory. This Sunday they are again at Blairgowrie.

Letham Tangerine 2003 (sponsored by Vending Services Ltd,)   Whilst the fixtures have closed down for the winter, training continues on the all-weather pitch as normal.

Letham White 2003 (sponsored by China, China, St. Leonards Bridge)   Many thanks to our sponsors China, China who attended our end of season celebrations and will continue to support the team for the new season. Training continues on the all-weather pitch as normal.

Letham Tangerine 2004 (sponsored by Carpet Discount Store, Friarton, Perth) Whilst the fixtures have closed down for the winter, training continues on the all-weather pitch as normal.

Letham 2004 White (sponsored by Tower Veterinary Centre) Training as usual on Tuesday evening on the all-weather pitch.

Letham Sky Blue 2004 (sponsored by John Tainsh, Convenience Store,)  The boys enjoyed their end of season celebration. Training however continues at Seven Acres.    

Letham 2005 Tangerine (sponsored by Manzil Restaurant)  The team celebrated the end of season with a fun session at Noah’s Ark followed by a trip to their sponsor hosted by the proprietor Javed Lal.

Letham 2005 White Whilst the fixtures have closed down for the winter, training continues on the all-weather pitch as normal. Thanks to Murray Davidson and Lee Croft of Saints who presented the boys with their end of season celebrations.

Letham 2006 Tangerines The next training session will be tomorrow at Seven Acres from 10.00a.m.

Letham 2006 Sky Blues  Players born 2006 wishing to play for this team should report to Seven Acres Park, tomorrow at 9.00a.m. and ask for Ken. Bring boots and a drink.

Letham Girls U15 (sponsored by MP & H McDonald, Plumbing & Heating)    The team played a friendly against Tullibody last weekend and ran out winners by three goals to one. Training as usual on Monday evening.

All Letham Girls teams   Reminder that training continues as normal on the all-weather pitch at Seven Acres.

Letham Tot’s Soccer School (sponsored by Struan Motors, Crieff Road)       The soccer school for boys and girls in primaries one, two and three continues at 9.00a.m. on the new all-weather pitch at Seven Acres. Cost is £2. Please wear boots and shin guards and bring a drink.  If arriving by car please use car park via Balgowan Road entrance.

Letham Coaches (sponsored by Scottish Co-op Community Fund)      Would like to hear from volunteers willing to give up some of their spare time and become a coach to one of our younger teams. Pay to Play    

Letham in conjunction with Active Schools offer school kids in primaries four to seven an opportunity every Tuesday from 3.30 till 5.00 p.m. to play football on their new state of the art all-weather pitch at Seven Acres Park, Newhouse Road, Letham for a £1. with qualified football coaches. Best to wear boots and wear warm clothing. No need to pre-book.

Walking Football      

Letham in conjunction with Live Active invite women and men to play walking football today Friday between 11.15 am and 12.15 p.m. at the Letham Centre, Tweedsmuir Road, Letham. It is free. More information from Bill Ellis on 07957864289. There will be short break after today and the sessions will resume on Friday 16th January at the same time.
