Letham Community Sports Club

 

Letham Amateurs (sponsored by Trev’s House of Tattoos, Saints Social Club, Barossa Street. DRC Contracts, Sidey)   With all other games in Perth cancelled due to state of the pitches the game against Burrelton Rovers went ahead on the new 3G pitch pitch at Seven Acres last Saturday. The match itself was an end to end affair with the Tangerines staking a place in the quarter final of the League Cup due to their three goals to two victory. Letham scorers were Collier, Turnbull and McIntosh. The Amateurs have a well desrved rest thing weekend.

       

Letham 1995 (sponsored by Perthshire Flooring) Game against Buddies was postponed.  No game this Sunday. Our best wishes go out to Lewis who is in hospital following an accident and wish him a speedy recovery.

 

Letham U19 Sky Blue (sponsored by Montana Restoration)  Playing their best football for weeks the team were a shade unlucky to lose to undefeated Dundee Villa by three goals to two at home last week. On Sunday they are at Monifieth.

 

Letham U16 Tangerine 1999 (sponsored by John Gillespie, Hairdresser, St.John Street)  The Tangies won well at Crieff last weekend due to a four goals to two victory. There is now a short break from fixtures.

 

Letham U16 White 1999 (sponsored by Alex O’Brien, Contractor. Kilmac Group, Kelly Communications)  The game against Kinnoull last week was postponed due to frost. There is now a short break over the festive period.

 

Letham U15 Tangerine 2000 (sponsored by Graham & Sibbald/ Drainco (Scotland) Ltd)  At Bankfoot’s request the league game was switched to the 3G pitch at Letham. Whilst the game was marred by a strong wind both teams played attractive football with the Tangies winning by four goals to three.

 

Letham Tangerine U14 2001 (sponsored by New Today, Furniture Centre, Canal Street)  The Tangies were in fine form last weekend at home to Dundee Celtic winning by seven goals to two. On Sunday they entertain Kirrie on the 3G pitch. Please note this game kicks off at 3.00p.m

 

Letham Tangerine 2002 (sponsored by McDonald’s, RGW Play Area Maint. Ltd., D Peebles, Electrical Contractor) Game at Jeanfield last weekend was cancelled due to ground conditions.

 

Letham Sky Blue 2002 (sponsored by MKM Building Merchants)  The game at Blairgowrie was called off due to pitch condition.

 

Letham Tangerines 2006.  Final training session for this year will be on Saturday at 10.00a.m.

 

Letham Tot’s Soccer School (sponsored by Struan Motors, Crieff Road)    The Soccer School continues on Saturday at 9.00a.m. for boys and girls in primaries 1 to 3. It is intended to be a fun day. Reminder to wear boots, bring a drink and especially warm clothes. There will then be a short break over the Christmas period and will resume on Saturday 10th, January 2015 again at 9.00a.m.  

    

Letham Coaches (sponsored by Scottish Co-op Community Fund)   Would like to hear from volunteers willing to give up some of their spare time and become a coach to one of our younger teams. Pay to Play       

Letham in conjunction with Active Schools offer school kids in primaries four to seven an opportunity every Tuesday from 3.30 till 5.00 p.m. to play football on their 3G pitch at Seven Acres Park, Newhouse Road, Letham for a £1. with qualified football coaches. Best to wear boots and wear warm clothing. No need to pre-book.  There will now be a short break over the Christmas holiday's and will resume on Tuesday 07 January 2015.

 

Walking Football      

Letham in conjunction with Live Active invite women and men to play walking football today Friday between 11.15 am and 12.15 p.m. at the Letham Centre, Tweedsmuir Road, Letham. It is free. More information from Bill Ellis on 07957864289. There will be short break and the sessions will resume on Friday 16th January at the same time.
