Due to the inclement weather the coaching session for last Monday was cancelled. However all the lads who braved the conditions were rewarded with a trip to Forfar last night. Will all boys and girls report to Seven Acres Park on Sunday, 7th,July at 10.30a.m. for a coaching session and a friendly game against Fossoway. Please bring along white shorts and socks.

The team lost 6-3 to Forfar last Thursday evening. As this was against a team who have played together for the last three seasons and all the Letham boys were playing together for the very first time, this was a very encouraging result. On Sunday at Seven Acres against Fossoway a further selection of under 12’s earned a very creditable 4-4 draw. The highlight of the game was the spectacular goals scored by both sides.
Will all boys and girls report to Seven Acres on Monday, 15th,July at 6.30p.m. for a coaching session and a further game against Longforgan. The return friendly fixture with Fossoway has been arranged for Thursday, 18th,July at Kinross assembling at Seven Acres at 6.00p.m. Please wear white shorts and stockings if possible. On Tuesday the boys recorded there first win by defeating Longforgan by six goals to five in a friendly fixture. Nearly all the boys were able to play some part in the match but for those that were disappointed were included in last nights return game with Fossoway at Kinross.

In the return friendly fixture at Kinross on Thursday evening the teams travelled with a very full squad of players, but were narrowly defeated by 6 goals to 5. Coach Iain Ballingall was very pleased he was able to give all the boys a run out and be able to express themselves albeit just for a short period. Iain and most of his fellow coaches are now on holiday for a short spell so will all players wait for further announcements. All future sessions will now require membership subscriptions.

Will all boys report to Seven Acres tomorrow Saturday at 10.30 a.m. for a short meeting. Allocation of players to the Under 12 (Tangerine) team and likewise for the Under 12(White) team and meet the coaches.

A game was arranged for the boys who attended the meeting last Saturday, which took place on Monday evening away to Longforgan. Whilst we were able to field two full teams we were unable to contain the ‘Forgan boys who ran out winners by a three goal margin. The players have now been allocated to their respective teams i.e. Tangerine or White

Next coaching session will be on Sunday. Players meet at Seven Acres for 1.45 p.m. A full scale practice match is planned in preparation for next weeks Scottish cup tie which is an away match with Dundee United S.C. Due to the regulations in respect of this cup match, the club requests a parent /guardian attends also on Sunday for a briefing session. Next coaching session for boys/girls (born 1990) will be on Tuesday at Newhouse Road for 6.30p.m.

The boys played very well last Sunday when they travelled to Blairgowrie. Thanks to all supporters who assisted in the travelling arrangements. This week they entertain Luncarty at Seven Acres. Players please report to Seven Acres at 11.15a.m.

On Sunday the team entertained Luncarty. The first half was fairly even with The Bleachers just shading the scoring. Alas in the second-half with the advantage of the slope the visitors ran out very comfortable winners. The team hope to show a major improvement this week when they visit Oakbank. Players please report to Seven Acres at 9.30a.m.on Sunday.

The boys were disappointed that on Sunday their opponents did not appear and had to make do with a training session. On Sunday they entertain Gannochy at Seven Acres and players are requested to report at 10.30a.m.Will all players note that indoor coaching takes place each Monday evening in the Letham Sports Centre at 6.00 p.m.

The match last week was postponed due to ground conditions. This week they have a very difficult task on their hands when they travel to play Thistle at Scone. The team showed a vast improvement over recent performances and is slowly starting to show the potential that the coaches know is within their capabilities. This week Strathearn from Crieff were due to come to Seven Acres in what should have been an interesting match. However, they are unable to fulfil the fixture. In order to carry on the progress made last weekend, Iain has decided to have a full-scale practice session on the pitch. Will all players report to the clubrooms on Sunday at twelve noon.

The training session on Sunday was well attended and useful in terms of team bonding. This week the team entertain Gannochy at Seven Acres in what should be an interesting encounter.

The team again under performed against Gannochy last weekend. In an effort to improve performance an additional coaching session will take place on Saturday at Seven Acres commencing at 11.00a.m. for an hour. This week the team travel to Bridge of Earn. Will all players and officials please assemble at Newhouse Road on Sunday at 11.00 a.m. Assistance with transport to this game would be greatly appreciated.

There were definite signs last week that the team are starting to come together although at the end Bridge of Earn ran out convincing winners. This game was marred by an occurrence, which has resulted in the club making an official complaint to the local Association. There is no official fixture on Sunday but as last week Iain is holding a special coaching session on Saturday morning at 11.00a.m.Please bring boots and appropriate training gear to Seven Acres. This session will last approx.1 hour.

Last week the team narrowly lost out to the white team by the odd goal in 11. This game was planned as an eleven a side game to familiarise the players as to playing on the full sized pitches. As expected this derby match carried a lot of prestige and the game was played in a very competitive manner. Next session will be on Thursday evening in the Letham Centre

At long last the team secured a fine victory when they defeated the club’s white team. Down 4-2 at the interval, a mixture of spirit and good combined play in the second half secured the victory when they scored 5 goals without reply. In order to accommodate Auchterarder, last week’s fixture was brought forward to the Saturday. They overcame their opponents fairly comfortably scoring some great goals in the process. It was pleasing to note that the hard work the boys have put in through the winter is starting to shine through. This week another Auchterarder team viz: - Langtoun visit Seven Acres. Players report to Newhouse Road at 10.15a.m. on Sunday. Reminder that monies are now due for the special visit to Hampden Park.

On Sunday the home team were unable to overcome Langtoun from Auchterarder and their improved form ground to a halt. This week the team entertain Athletico Blair. Athletico Blair came to Seven Acres on Sunday but in an entertaining game were defeated in a 10-goal match. Both teams can take satisfaction from the fact that they tried to play attractive football. This week the team have a very difficult away game at Luncarty. Reminder that outdoor coaching is on Thursday evening at 6.00p.m.

Luncarty have held the upper hand in all previous encounters this season and last Sunday was no exception despite Letham opening the scoring. Today, the team are off to Hampden Park for a special visit, Transport leaves Seven Acres at 12.30p.m. prompt. On Sunday there is a home fixture against Oakbank. Match arrangements are still to be confirmed so Iain will advise when known.

The much-improved form of the Tangerines was much in evidence last Sunday when they took a three-goal lead. Credit to their opponents Oakbank who fought back to level the scores. There is no game this weekend against Kintillo but it is hoped to reschedule the fixture to midweek.

As last weeks game against Kintillo was postponed until a later date, the team made do on Saturday with a very serious coaching session when they were being prepared for the coming season This week due to circumstances the normal fixture will not be played. Reminder that coaching continues on Thursday night at 7.00p.m.

The fixture scheduled for last weekend was not played so the boys are looking forward to the away match at Crieff against Strathearn. The club would appreciate assistance from parents with regard to transportation. Meet clubhouse at 10.45a.m. prompt.

Last weekend the team travelled to Crieff to play Strathearn. Iain is very pleased in the manner, which the team played considering the long lay off since their last game. This week they are again on their travels to play Gannochy. Players meet Seven Acres at 10.15a.m.

The team’s good form was maintained last week against Gannochy. Last night there was a further workout to accustom the team for eleven a side football next season. This week Bridge of Earn are the visitors in what will be the final game for this season. Final details are not to hand due to the fact that the goalposts at Seven Acres are likely to have been taken down. Head coach Iain Ballingall would like to thank all the players, parents and friends for their wonderful support over the season.

On Sunday the team played its last official fixture of the season with a home game against Bridge of Earn. The final result was of no consequence but the pleasing aspect of this game was the improvement of the home team since it first played last September

The team enjoyed an end of season night out on Wednesday evening. Thanks to the staff at Noah’s Ark and McDiarmid Park as well as parents, friends and sponsors throughout the season.
