Letham Amateurs v Aylth
Playing their first competitive game on the all-weather pitch the opening stages were pretty even. As the game progressed Letham came more and more dominant and were passing up numerous scoring chances. Mark Donaldson opened the scoring after 20 minutes with an absolute goal of the day from 25 yards leaving the visiting keeper helpless. 10 minutes later his speed took him past the visiting defence, rounding the keeper and pushing the ball home. Right up to the interval Letham were on top put could not put the ball in the net. In the second period it was mainly a mid-field tussle and Gavin Smith with a snap shot in the final minute completed the scoring.
Final Score; Letham Amateurs 3 - 0 Aylth. Letham will rue the number of chances they missed, a good win all the same with some fine finishing from Mark Donaldson.
